Environmental organizations we support

Earth Day and the surrounding weeks should be focused on protecting and learning about the environment, not about flash sales and freebies.

That's why we encourage our wonderful customers to BUY LESS during Earth Month and instead donate to an environmental organization.

 

This Earth Month and throughout the year, we're proud to support the following organizations.

 

1. Women's Earth Alliance

WEA provides leadership, strategy, and technical training for women leaders to scale their climate and environmental initiatives while connecting them to a global alliance of peers, mentors, and funders.

 

2. Surfrider

The Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves and beaches, for all people, through a powerful activist network. Rebrand donates directly to our local San Francisco chapter.

 

3. Replate

Replate is a tech-enabled nonprofit that aims to reduce food waste and food insecurity. Their platform offers tools for businesses with food surplus to donate meals to nonprofits serving communities who are experiencing food insecurity, plus business solutions designed for food waste prevention through source reduction.

 

4. Earthjustice

Earthjustice is a nonprofit public interest environmental law organization. We wield the power of law and the strength of partnership to protect people’s health, to preserve magnificent places and wildlife, to advance clean energy, and to combat climate change.

 

5. Project Drawdown

Project Drawdown is the world's leading resource for climate solutions. Their mission is to help the world stop climate change - as quickly safely, and equitably as possible.

 

6. UC Berkeley Center for Green Chemistry

The mission of the Berkeley Center for Green Chemistry is to bring about a generational transformation toward the design and use of inherently safer chemicals and materials. Plus, it's Aubri's (our founder) alma mater!

 

We are members of 1% For The Planet, meaning we donate at least 1% of our profits annually to environmental organizations. We chose to donate to the above organizations based on impact and proximity.
